The Richmond Arts Coalition (RAC) has launched part two of its “Let’s Celebrate Together” show to celebrate the various art forms in the city.
RAC, a volunteer-led organization in Richmond, recorded and published the first part of its "Let’s Celebrate Together" show on YouTube in January.
The second part of the show was recorded at the Steveston Martial Arts Centre and features local artists Tanaz Roudgar, Marc Rivest, Cora Kiesman, Hannah Black and Jiliang Yao.
According to Andrew Wade, executive director of RAC, its channel aims to highlight work from artists such as performers, musicians, dancers, actors, comedians, magicians and visual artists.
It will, he said, help Richmond artists “reach a larger national and international digital audience.”
“Programming on the channel will be entertaining, informative and educational,” said Wade, adding that the channel, crew and post-production work are all from Richmond.
RAC recorded and produced its second free online showcase at the Steveston Martial Arts Centre with the help of a grant from Metro Vancouver, the British Columbia Arts Council and the Government of Canada.
