Fleetham Stevens will perform at the Steveston Folk Guild’s concert next month.

A duo known for quirky and original Canadiana music laced with harmony will grace the stage at the Chinese Bunkhouse next month.

For its latest live concert on Aug. 15, the Steveston Folk Guild (SFG) is welcoming Vancouver-based duo Fleetham Stevens to Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site.

The duo is made up of musicians and songwriters Doug Fleetham and Shelley Stevens, who have been active in the Vancouver music scene for about 25 years.

Fleetham, who plays the guitar, and Stevens, who plays the guitar and banjo, previous performed in bands such as Desperate Measures, The Bent Nails and The Honey Flowers.

Regulars at SFG concerts may remember Stevens from pre-pandemic times, and this will be Fleetham's first time joining Stevens on the SFG stage.

Catch Fleetham Stevens at the Chinese Bunkhouse at 5188 Westwater Dr on Aug. 15 at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $12 at the door.
