Richmond's top favourite businesses, voted by community members, can now flaunt their newly acquired titles.
The Best of Richmond, held by the Richmond News, celebrated its 16th year as the community voted for businesses in 100 categories including best bakery, best grilled BBQ, best brewery, best auto repair, best barber shop and more.
The specialty store category was newly added to the list this year.
More than 5,000 online votes were submitted for Best of Richmond and participants had to vote in at least 15 categories for their ballots to count.
A 40-page magazine is available in print and online featuring the winner's list and businesses thanking the public for their support, explained Michelle Bhatti, director of sales and advertising at the Richmond News.
"It also contains some great walking trails and photos celebrating the beauty of Richmond," said Bhatti.
"We're grateful for the 16 years the public and businesses have been supporting Best of Richmond and we are honoured to share the stories and incredible things that make Richmond a beautiful place to live."
Participants who voted were entered for a chance to win a $100 gift card for M&M Food Market and one for Moxies.
