Mayor Malcolm Brodie and Richmond city council are hosting a lunch on Wednesday for key business partners that will explore the implications of the on-demand economy.

Invitations were extended to businesses people who’ve helped the city in some way, from sponsoring City events to participating in the Economic Advisory Committee.

Businesses in “key sectors” that employ many people in Richmond were also invited. Representatives from Spud, Routific, Hungerford Properties and Dayhu Group made the cut.

“Click, make, deliver,” will be the theme of the noon-hour gathering, with guest speaker Jean-Francois Perrault, chief economist for Scotiabank, also delivering a presentation on current global growth prospects.
