The ride-hailing service Lyft has moved into a new hub for drivers in Richmond.
Since Lyft expanded its operations to Richmond in January 2020, it has been one of the most popular ride-hailing companies in Metro Vancouver next to Uber.
According to Lyft, its new Richmond location at 135 - 5980 Miller Rd., near Miller and Jericho roads, will help better establish itself in the region’s transportation network.
The new hub will serve as a support office for community members looking to work as a driver with the company and for current drivers who may have questions or concerns regarding their driving experience.
When the pandemic passes, it will also be used as a place for drivers to visit, get coffee and connect with other drivers in the Lyft community and possibly future events for drivers.
“We’re excited about our new permanent location in Richmond and what this means for the driver community,” said Peter Lukomskyj, general manager of Lyft in B.C.
“With this new location, we’ll be able to further support current and potential drivers and help them maximize earnings opportunities.”
