A Richmond real estate developer brought home numerous housing excellence awards this month.
On Monday, the Canadian Home Builder’s Association unveiled the winners for the Georgia Award, an award to honour B.C.’s best homebuilders, renovators, designers and real estate industry professionals.
Tera Development’s Otto development, an eight-unit duplex townhome project at Francis and No.2 roads, was the winner under the Best Multi-Family Kitchen category.
Earlier this month, the Otto project also won the 2024 awards for Housing Excellence from Custom Home Builders Vancouver (HAVAN) under the Best Multiplex Development and Best New Kitchen categories.
"As our members collaborate with local and provincial governments to address housing challenges, these awards highlight the professionalism, expertise and creativity of our members," said Ron Rapp, CEO of HAVAN, in a statement.
Tera announced on Wednesday it broke ground on a new project in Richmond this week which will continue its “award-winning approach to real estate development.”
Aviary Living, a 36-unit townhouse development, will have a blend of heritage-inspired architecture, according to the company.
“Amid this period of real estate uncertainty, the project addresses current market trends, such as the growing demand for family-friendly housing and sustainable development practices,” said the company in a statement.
“There's been a concerted effort to align the project with city planning objectives to create a thriving community.”
