A community-wide scavenger hunt is encouraging people to explore Steveston’s many local businesses.
The scavenger hunt giveaway is hosted by the Steveston Merchant Association, Tourism Richmond and The Joseph Richard Group.
“We’ve partnered up with several local businesses to promote the exploration of our historic Steveston Village, and the businesses that operate within it,” read a social media post by the Steveston Merchants Association.
With a list of participating businesses in hand, Steveston Village visitors can take selfies in front of or inside of businesses, and tag the business on Instagram to receive points.
First, second and third prizes include gift cards to local restaurants, workshops, businesses and even a two-night stay at the Steveston Hotel.
The contest will run until Sept. 7 with winners announced on Sept. 16.
