A bird on a wire caused more than 6,000 BC Hydro customers to lose power on Monday in Richmond.
The utility reported about 16,000 customers were without power in the early afternoon in Richmond, but the cause in one area was reported by BC Hydro to be from "bird contacting our wires."
The power went off around 2:30 and was restored about three hours later.
The area affected by the bird was between Gilbert and No. 3 roads and between Francis and Park roads.
BC Hydro hasn't reported the cause of two other power outages affecting thousands more in the nearby areas.
