The Canada Line Capstan Station is expected to open in mid-2024.

The Canada Line in Richmond will once again have evening service interruptions as work continues on the Capstan Station.

Service between Bridgeport Station and Richmond-Brighouse Station will end at 9:30 p.m. Monday to Friday between April 8 and May 24.

This means trains won't be running to and from Bridgeport, Aberdeen, Lansdowne, and Richmond–Brighouse stations.

Trains between Bridgeport Station and YVR–Airport Station won't be affected.

Extra bus service will run about every 10 minutes between Bridgeport and Richmond–Brighouse stations to provide customers with alternative service.

The temporary service interruptions are necessary to ensure the safety of workers and the public, TransLink explained.

Crews will be finishing work around the platform, which includes installing safety systems and electrical devices, and further integrating the station with the existing Canada Line track.

Regular service will resume on Saturday, May 25.

The Canada Line Capstan Station, located between the Bridgeport and Aberdeen stations, is expected to open in mid-2024.
