Thanks to analyst work, police investigators have been able to link at least three sexual assault attacks occurring at, or near, SkyTrain stations in Richmond, Burnaby and New Westminster.
In each of the three instances in May, July and September, the suspect, described as a slim Asian male, aged 20 to 30 years old, would approach the victims while they were walking toward the train platforms or riding the escalators and would grab the buttocks of each victim.
The suspect would not say anything and, when confronted, would simply walk away. One timid victim was afraid to react and the suspect followed her onto the SkyTrain and sat down beside her.
In all three incidents, the victims came forward to police authorities to report the assault. There may be several victims who have not come forward. If you recognize the suspect in the photos, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
