The estimated street value of the drug bust in June is $2 million.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) have stopped 60 attempts at exporting methamphetamines out of B.C. so far this year.

Of the seizures, CBSA found 397 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 1,278 litres of liquid methamphetamine with an approximate total of eight million individual doses headed for Australia between March and August, according to the border services agency.

Border services officers seized 194 kilograms of methamphetamine at the Tsawwassen Container Examination Facility on March 12 and 1,278 litres of liquid methamphetamine through the Fraser Surrey Docks on June 27.

Between April and August, border officers seized a combined total of 85 kilograms of methamphetamine in 54 separate incidents at the Vancouver International Mail Centre.

Meanwhile, 93 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized at the Vancouver International Air Cargo Operations between May and August.

In July, officers also seized a total of 25 kilograms of methamphetamine in two separate incidents at the Vancouver International Passenger Operations.

"International drug smuggling is a threat to the safety and security of our communities," said Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Public Safety, Democratic Institutions and Intergovernmental Affairs.

"The seizures announced today are examples of how the CBSA works with domestic and international partners to disrupt criminal networks and keep illegal drugs off our streets.”

Nina Patel, regional director general of the CBSA Pacific region, said the seizure of the methamphetamine within six months is a "testament to the exemplary work" and expertise of officers and analysts.

"I want to recognize the collaborative efforts of our partners, including the RCMP and Australian Federal Police, for their hard work and dedication to public safety," said Patel.

CBSA units work with multiple teams including the Metro Vancouver District, Vancouver International Mail Centre, Vancouver International Airport, Pacific Region Intelligence Section and domestic and international law enforcement partners during drug seizures.
