It’s a cold day in Richmond, as temperatures this week are expected to dip to the lowest the city has seen all winter.
City of Richmond crews were out in full force over the weekend preparing roads for winter weather as a weather advisory was issued by Environment Canada.

City trucks continued to be out throughout the day and into Sunday night, treating roads.
Standby trucks were called in for a 7pm start to relieve the staff that have been working since 7am. Trucks will be out throughout the night to ensure roads are safe for morning commute. Please take care and drive according to the conditions. #RichmondBC #BCStorm pic.twitter.com/Jl6b7BJTo4

While the weather alert ended Monday morning, Richmondites can still expect a chilly week with temperatures as low as -9 C overnight. Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be clear, but the snow may return on Thursday or Friday.
