Richmond city council will be making its final vote on whether to approve a housing agreement bylaw allowing 16 units of affordable housing in a 15-storey condo.

This is on the agenda for Tuesday's April 11 city council meeting this week.

Rental units are being proposed on the fourth and seventh floors of the condo building on Westminster Highway, just east of No. 3 Road.

There will only be one three-bedroom unit, but there will be 10 one-bedroom units, four two-bedroom units, and one studio apartment.

In the proposed housing agreement, there is a maximum income for those who can rent the units, and there are no age restrictions on renters.

Meanwhile, city staff is recommending councillors approve an "integrated approach" to the management of feral rabbits in Richmond.

This includes increased public education and awareness campaign, and a "capture, sterilization and re-homing program," reads the city staff report.

Current feral rabbit management-related activities in the city are funded through the existing Wildlife Management budget.
