The City of Richmond is asking members of the public to weigh in on what amenities they would like to see in a new lawn bowling clubhouse at Minoru Park.
Richmond city council has identified the renovation or replacement of the Lawn Bowling Clubhouse as one of the city’s top five priority major facility projects for 2016-2026.
And to assist the city’s project team in developing the concept program and design for the clubhouse, the city will be hosting two open houses at the Lawn Bowling Clubhouse at 6131 Bowling Green Rd.
Richmond Lawn Bowling Club members, along with interested members of the public, are invited to drop in to one of the open houses to meet the architects along with city staff and discuss what features are important to them. Light refreshments will be provided.
There will be a series of information boards to review and provide feedback on. Information gathered during these open houses will contribute to the advanced design and preliminary planning process for this project.
Open house details are as follows:
-Wednesday, Sept. 27: 10 a.m. to noon;
-Thursday, Sept. 28: 1 to 3 p.m.
