Updated: Highway 91 crash in Richmond now clear but drivers still face delays

Crews are on scene but drivers are warned to expect major delays due to congestion.

A crash snarled traffic along Highway 91 in Richmond on Friday afternoon. The crash has been cleared but drivers should still expect delays due to congestion.

The crash that snarled traffic along the East-West Connector in Richmond on Friday is now clear.

However, drivers should still expect delays due to heavy congestion, according to Drive BC.

Traffic is still backed up in both directions along Highway 91 as well as along Westminster Highway from near No. 6 Road. 

Traffic is also still backed up along southbound Highway 99 towards the Massey Tunnel, from about Westminster Highway.

The crash occurred between No. 8 and No. 7 roads. All eastbound lanes were closed, although traffic was getting by on the shoulder. The westbound left lane was also blocked.
