Five people charged with allegedly running illegal gaming house in Richmond

Five people have been charged in connection with an alleged illegal gaming house on No. 3 Road.

Five people are being charged in Richmond Provincial Court for allegedly running an illegal gaming house.

Charges have been laid against Jack Qin, Thi Cam Tu Nguyen, Kuo Li Wong, Michael Phillip Yee and Jin Zhang for allegedly running a “common gaming house” on No. 3 Road near Westminster Highway from January to April of 2021.

The gaming house allegedly operated on the 19th floor of 6068 No. 3 Rd.

The five were scheduled to appear in Richmond Provincial Court on Tuesday.

Furthermore, Qin has been charged with selling or possessing unstamped tobacco products in February 2022, and of unlawfully importing a controlled substance, ethyl glycidate, which is a precursor chemical for making ecstasy.

The five co-accused are scheduled to be back in court on Nov. 20.
