Just because there is a pandemic doesn’t mean people in Metro Vancouver shouldn’t have access to fresh and nutritious food.

That’s the idea behind theGreater Vancouver Food Bank’s first-ever “Fresh Week” with a large supply of perishable food available to its clients during what is normally a closure week for all of its sites.

Starting this week, the Winston Warehouse (8345 Winston St. in Burnaby) is open for fresh food distribution from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., through Friday, April 24, and for every Warehouse Week for the foreseeable future (see attached schedules by scrolling through the photos above). The schedule also includes New Westminster and other sites.

"We have a huge array of fruit, vegetables and dairy products for our clients, and it looks amazing,” said a news release.
