Four men facing charges for alleged robbery in Richmond

Charges include using a firearm during an alleged crime.

Four men are facing charges in Richmond provincial court for an alleged break-in and robbery.

Sijuola Israel Obatusa, Ethan Foster Hanmer, Nicholas Tomas Baez and Derrell Patterson are facing charges for breaking into and entering a home, theft, using a Glock 48 and/or a Churchill pump action shotgun during an alleged crime, robbery of three people and possession of money, an iPhone, an iPad and liquor belonging to two of the victims. 

Obatusa is facing one charge of possession of a firearm without a licence and Patterson is facing one charge of pointing a firearm at one of the victims.

The alleged offences took place in March 2023.

Hanmer and Patterson are scheduled to be back in court on Sept. 10, and Obatusa and Baez are scheduled to be back in court on Sept. 11.
