Free adult courses for refugees, new immigrants in Richmond

Courses are being offered daytime and evenings to accommodate schedules.

B.C. residents who are looking to upgrade their education with free courses in Richmond can do so starting next week.

The Richmond School District is opening adult high school courses to residents who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or have refugee status for free starting Jan. 26.

Courses are offered during the day and evening as part of the district's continuing education program for those ages 17 and older and are looking to improve their English, complete their high school diploma or upgrade their BC transcript of grades.

Grade 12 BC First Peoples and Grade 12 English First Peoples courses are also being offered.
