Traffic to and from the airport is expected to get busy on Boxing Day.

The Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is cautioning travellers to make extra time coming and going to the airport on Thursday, Boxing Day.

McArthurGlen outlet mall is expected to be busy with shoppers looking for sales.

Those flying from YVR or picking someone up from the airport are encouraged to take the Canada Line.

Those who must drive to the airport should leave extra time, and have a parking plan, said YVR. It’s possible to pre-book parking at yvr.ca/parking.

Boxing Day shoppers are also advised to take the Canada Line as McArthurGlen is only steps away from the Templeton Station.

Those who must drive may experience delays accessing the outlet centre.

RCMP, traffic management personnel and roadway signage will be in place to direct drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.

All road users are encouraged to follow direction from traffic personnel and posted signs.

Passengers are encouraged to check their flight status with their airline and monitor traffic reports for most up-to-date information on the roads.
