A large police presence in an industrial area of south Richmond on Sunday evening raised the alarm for a few Richmond residents.
A few of them contacted the Richmond News, with reports of up to 10 RCMP vehicles with lights flashing around 6:30 p.m. in the area of Rice Mill, No. 5 and Dike roads.
There are a number of small and large business operations in the area, including a gym and the headquarters for London Drugs.
However, Richmond RCMP told the News that a search was taking place for a man who had allegedly breached his curfew.
According to the police, the man in question was arrested and is in custody, awaiting his bail hearing.
