A man has been charged in Richmond Provincial Court for possession of identity documents, counterfeit money and forged credit cards as well as with possessing identity documents for the purpose of selling or transmitting them.
Harvir Singh Dosanjh has been charged with 20 counts and appeared in court on Wednesday to confirm a trial date.
Dosanjh is charged with 13 counts of possession of other people’s identify documents and one count of possession of counterfeit US$20 bills.
He’s also charged with two counts of possession of false credit cards, one Mastercard and one TD Visa card.
Four other counts are for possession of identity information for the purpose of transmitting, distributing or selling it and knowing that it could be used for an indictable offence including fraud, deceit or falsehood.
These offences allegedly occurred in February 2022.
Dosanjh, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, is currently in custody and will be back in court on Nov. 18.
His trial is set for Feb. 21, 2025.
