Less than three hours after TransLink got the Canada Line service back up and running, it’s experiencing delays again.
This time, a stalled train in the Richmond area is causing northbound and southbound delays for the service to Vancouver.
TransLink tweeted at around 1 p.m. that it hopes to provide updates to the disruption.
Earlier today, platforms were crammed across the Canada Line network, with shuttle trains running between several stations on the route due to a “technical issue.”
The day has not been much better if you were taking the bus, with TransLink warning people not to leave the house unless it was absolutely necessary.
And at YVR, some passengers were stranded on their flights on the tarmac for as much as 10 hours last night into this morning, with the airport apparently unable to get planes to their gates.
It has led to scores of flight delays and cancellations and people are being advised not to travel to the airport unless their flight is still scheduled to depart on time.
An Arctic blast of air is expected to hit the YVR, Richmond and Metro Vancouver region tonight and Wednesday, with temperatures feeling as low as -21 overnight.
And on Thursday and Friday, Environment Canada is forecasting more snow.
