More than 2,000 BC Hydro customers in East Richmond are without power on Friday afternoon.
According to the BC Hydro outage map, 2,786 customers are affected in the area south of Marine Way, east of Viking Way, north of Blundell Road, and west of Boundary Road.
The power went out shortly after 4 p.m. and the cause is due to a downed tree on BC Hydro wires.
Emergency crews are on their way.
BC Hydro estimates power will return at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3.
