Ever wonder what it’s like to sit in a comic book-like scene?
A new teahouse and café is bringing the 2-D café trend to east Richmond.
Mountain Teahouse, near River and Savage roads, appears to be almost ready for opening.
However, there are no websites or social media accounts associated with the business to announce when the shop will actually open or what it will offer.
Many cafes across the world including South Korea, Japan and the U.S. have adopted interior designs including black 2-D line drawings on white walls and furniture to imitate the look of a comic book.
The trend became a hit in 2018 when the first cartoon-like café went viral in Seoul.
