New gelato and dessert store opens in Steveston

For many Richmondites, Steveston is the go-to spot for our favourite gelatos. 

And as the weather gets warmer, we can start looking forward to grabbing an ice-cream under the sun while walking along the river with our loved ones. 

To add to the flavour in the village, another option has opened up - Sprinkle’s Gelato and Dessert House - at 12231 First Ave. 

Richmondite Susanna Garrido, the owner of the family business, told the Richmond News that baking and making ice cream have always been their passion and running a store like this is like a dream come true. 

“We are excited to invite our neighbours to come in to have some gelato and meet us,” said Garrido.

Garrido added that their family had previously operated a gelato store at the Richmond Night Market.
