Richmond is known across the Lower Mainland as a great place for people to hang out and enjoy authentic Asian food with a diverse selection of shops, venues and restaurants.
Three new businesses opened in Richmond recently providing more options for those who want to spend time with their family on an animal farm, work out with friends or try some all-you-can-eat Japanese-style barbecue.
UU Family Farm

A new family farm was added to Richmond’s map last month. Visitors can spend a whole day on the farm with various animals including ponies, ostriches, goats, sheep cranes, swans, ducks, chickens and more.
Visitors can also pick fresh blueberries or apples from the orchard and bring their own food for a barbecue - the farm provides the space and barbecue pits.
The entry price is $20 per adult and $10 for children over three years old. The farm is currently open on weekends and reservations are required to visit it on weekdays.
Epic Racquet Sports Club
Address: 140 - 4551 No. 3 Road
Badminton lovers now have another place to go to practice their skills or have a game with their friends.
Epic Sports Club, a modern badminton club, opened in Richmond last month. The club has 12 badminton courts with showers, air conditioning and LED lighting and offers badminton classes.
Reservations are required in advance to use the courts.
Kazuhan Yakiniku BBQ
Address: 1150-8391 Alexandra Road
A new barbecue restaurant opened on Alexandra Road last month and offers all-you-can-eat barbecue starting from $48 per person.
Kazuhan Yakiniku is known for its traditional Japanese style BBQ but the restaurant also offers a rice and noodle lunch menu.
