One person has been charged in an alleged residential break-and-enter in Richmond in mid-November.
Richmond RCMP were called to the 3700 block of Blundell Road, near No. 1 Road, on Nov. 13 for a possible break-and-enter in progress. When officers arrived on scene, the suspect had already left the scene.
Frontline officers collected evidence for Richmond RCMP Property Crime Unit who later identified the suspect.
"Property crime has a real impact on the people who live and work in our community," said Cpl. Ryan Lee, Richmond RCMP Property Crime Unit.
"Our officers work hard to hold offenders accountable and help residents feel safe. If you see something suspicious, report it. Your call could help prevent a crime."
Ahmed Mohamed Hassan has been charged with one count of break and enter.
He is scheduled to appear in Richmond Provincial Court on Friday.
Police recommend Richmond residents get involved in their neighbourhood by getting to know their next door neighbours and participating in a Block Watch group.
