As I was buzzing around Richmond the other day, I happened across Richmond’s Sharing Farm.
And I bumped into Leslie Williams, the executive director of the Sharing Farm Society, who is also an avid and expert beekeeper.
The bees, she told me, provide pollination for the farm’s crops and honey that is sold to help fund the farm’s activities.
The Sharing Farm donates 20,000 pounds of food to the Richmond Food Bank and families facing food insecurity.
