Overnight Richmond road closures for railway maintenance, road work

Detours and noise are to be expected during maintenance between Oct. 19 and Nov. 3

Railway maintenance will see overnight road closures starting Oct. 19 in Richmond.

Motorists travelling in and around Richmond should expect delays and detours in the coming weeks.

There will be overnight road closures for railway maintenance and asphalt replacement at several railway crossings starting Oct. 19.

Road closures are as follows:

  • No. 4 Road at Dyke Road will be closed from 3 p.m. on Oct. 19 to 7 a.m. on Oct. 20
  • Granville Avenue at Shell Road Trail will be closed from 2 p.m. Oct. 20 to 7 a.m. Oct. 21.
  • Blundell Road at Shell Road Trail will be closed from 2 p.m. Oct. 27 to 7 a.m. Oct. 28
  • Cambie Road at Shell Road will be closed from 3 p.m. Nov. 2 to 3 p.m. Nov. 3

During maintenance and road work, there will be detour routes and noises including equipment, generators and vehicle back-up alarms, according to the City of Richmond.
