Pair face merchandise theft, trafficking charges in Richmond court

The crimes are alleged to have taken place in late February.

Two people have been charged in Richmond Provincial Court for theft and trafficking stolen property.

Alyssa Susan John and Darren Patrick John are charged with one count of theft under $5,000 from Toys R Us, one count of trafficking “property or thing” that they allegedly knew was obtained by an indictable offence and another count of possession of this property.

Darren John faces a fourth count, of theft from Toys R Us of merchandise under $5,000.

The crimes are alleged to have taken place between Feb. 14 and Feb. 29.

Alyssa John and Darren John were in Richmond Provincial Court this week and will be back on Jan. 21.

The two 46-year-olds are currently not in custody.
