Police are asking the public for information about an alleged theft of $2,400 of perfume from a Steveston store in mid-November.
Richmond RCMP attended a business in the 3800 block of Steveston Highway, between Second Avenue and No. 1 Road, on Nov. 11, 2024 for a report of the alleged theft.
The complainant said seven unidentified people entered the store and allegedly stole the perfume and left within a minute.
The only items allegedly targeted were the fragrances in the makeup department.
All seven suspects had left by the time RCMP arrived.
The suspects are all described as men between the ages of 16 and 20, and of Middle Eastern descent.
One suspect is described by Richmond RCMP as wearing a black hoodie with white markings, grey sweat pants and white shoes. Police say he was carrying a backpack with black and white stripes and the lower half of his face was covered with black fabric.
The second suspect is described as wearing a grey hoodie with white markings, grey sweat pants and black shoes.
The third suspect, police said, was wearing a black hoodie with white markings near the neck, black sweat pants and white shoes with the lower half of his face covered with black fabric.
The fourth suspect was wearing a black hoodie with white markings on the left side and his face was covered with black fabric.
The fifth suspect is described as having black hair and wearing a light-blue jacket, grey sweatpants and black shoes. His face was covered with black fabric.
The sixth suspect is described as having a moustache, wearing a black jacket with a triangle-shaped emblem on its hood, black pants and black shoes.
RCMP described the seventh suspect as wearing a black jacket with a silver zipper and white lining around the hood, black pants and black shoes. His face was also covered with black fabric.
