It definitely snowed a ton last night, but we’re not sure it snowed enough to fill a barge on the Fraser River in Richmond.
From his condo, Richmond resident and photographer Denis Beauvais caught sight of this “SnowSpan” vessel near the Massey Tunnel at about 8 a.m. this morning.
Beauvais acknowledged that it was likely wood pulp or something similar in the barge, topped up with last night’s six inches of the white stuff.
“Two guys shoveling snow by the park were getting a good laugh at it,” he told the Richmond News.
