A multi-vehicle crash in Richmond on Labour Day Monday caused a busy intersection to be partially shut down.
The crash happened at the intersection of Blundell and Gilbert roads at around 9:40 a.m. on Monday.
Richmond News reader Grant McMillan said Richmond RCMP sealed off the area for some time as the crash was cleared.
Richmond RCMP said it was called to a four-vehicle collision and cordoned off traffic in the area while they conducted their investigation.
Four vehicles were later towed from the scene, including a white Chevy van, a grey Mazda 3, a grey Mercedes and a black Ford Explorer.
“Fortunately, there were no significant injuries reported. Although the investigation is still ongoing, alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to have been factors at this time,” the RCMP told the News.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have captured it on dash-cam video, is encouraged to contact Richmond RCMP on the non-emergency line at 604-278-1212 and quote file number 2021-24484.
