There are still three small power outages in Richmond on Wednesday afternoon due to a windstorm.

Properties in the Seafair area on Gourmand Road, and the 3500 block of Jesmond Avenue have been affected since noon.

And residents on the 10600-10800 block of Rochdale Drive, near Steveston Highway and No. 4 Road, have been affected since 1:18 pm.

Some properties on the 2300-2600 block of Westminster Highway have also been facing an outage since 12:47 pm.

Between five and 16 properties were affected in these areas.

BC Hydro crews are currently responding to damage across the South Coast and Vancouver Island due to the ongoing windstorm.

Currently, there are 801 outages in the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast, with about 176,318 people affected.

The hardest hit areas are currently Surrey, Victoria, North Vancouver, West Vancouver and Sechelt.

Some trees and branches have been knocked down due to heavy rain and wind in some areas.

BC Hydro confirmed power might be gone overnight in some areas due to the significant damage.
