A Wednesday morning power outage in Richmond left more than 2,500 Richmondites in the dark, figuratively speaking, for around an hour.
According to BC Hydro's outage map, the outage area covered east of Garden City Road, south of Bridgeport Road, west of No. 8 Road and north of Highway 99.
The outage was reported at 11:13 a.m. and restored at 12:15 p.m. According to BC Hydro, the cause of the outage was "tree making contact with wires."
