Athletes from a local archery club returned victorious from the BC Provincial Indoor Championship this spring.

Four athletes from the Richmond Rod and Gun Club's archery team came home with three gold and one bronze medals in March.

Alexandre Desemery, Alexander Ignatius and Raymond Huang all won gold in the men's recurve, compound and barebow categories, respectively.

Greg Moore won bronze in the men's recurve competition.

Huang, who has been with the club for six years, has been on a winning streak since January.

The 39-year-old archer won gold at the Lancaster Classic in Pennsylvania, followed by the Canadian Regional Indoor Championships at the Richmond Rod and Gun Club.

He recently represented Canada at the Pan-American Championships held in Medellin, Colombia, where he continued his golden run by winning the top spot in all the events he participated in.

"These accomplishments reflect the hard work and talent of the Richmond Rod and Gun Club’s archery team, as they continue to make the club and the community proud," said Mike Thorne, club president.
