Richmond calling for volunteers to serve on city advisory committees

Those interested must submit an application alongside with their resume before Sept. 27

Committees in arts, culture, social development and more are now accepting applications

Richmond residents are encouraged to apply for a number of positions in advisory committees, boards and commissions. 

Volunteers will provide feedback to city council in arts, culture, recreation, social development and the environment.

These are usually two-year terms ending on Dec. 31. 

The following committees are accepting applications:

  • Accessibility Advisory Committee
  • Advisory Committee on the Environment
  • Aquatic Advisory Board
  • Board of Variance
  • Child Care Development Advisory Committee
  • Community Services Advisory Committee
  • Economic Advisory Committee
  • Food Security and Agricultural Advisory Committee
  • Heritage Commission
  • Intercultural Advisory Committee
  • Minoru Centre for Active Living Program Committee
  • Public Art Advisory Committee
  • Public Library Board
  • Seniors Advisory Committee
  • Sister City Advisory Committee
  • Youth Advisory Committee
  • Vancouver International Airport (YVR) Aeronautical Noise Management Advisory Committee
  • Vancouver International Airport (YVR) Environmental Advisory Committee

Those interested in volunteering should download and fill out the application in the city’s website – an application alongside a resume must be submitted to [email protected] no later than Sept. 27.
