The City of Richmond's Environmental Enhancement Grants are open for a second round of applications starting from May 4 to 18.
The grant is open to both individuals and registered non-profit organizations, and it offers financial support for action-based projects that are inclusive and contribute to the enhancement, restoration, or conservation of the city's environment.
Examples of such projects include: shoreline clean-ups, invasive species pulls, and tree and shrub planting.
Non-profit organizations can apply for a $2,500 grant for environmental-based projects, while individuals can apply for a maximum of $500 to support grassroots projects.
More information and application instructions can be found on the city's website.
