Richmond kid, 6, runs 2K and raises 2K for Children's Hospital

Little Lincoln Mihic ran the West Dyke Trail with his dad to raise money for sick kids as part of the virtual RBC Race for the Kids

There’s a smile the width of Garry Point Park on the face of young Lincoln Mihic.

And little wonder, given the recently-turned six-year-old ran non-stop for two kilometres along the West Dyke Trail with his dad, Bryan, as part of this year’s virtual RBC Race for the Kids.

Not only that, Lincoln, a Dixon elementary student, managed to raise an impressive $2,040 for the race’s charity, the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Waiting for him at the virtual finishing line at Garry Point Park were his cousins Lily and Jax Mansoor, who held the finishing tape for him to cross.

“We are all so proud of him to raise so much money,” said Anne Poole, Bryan’s aunt.

“He was a champ and ran all the way with his dad.”
