Well, it seems like we're not quite ready for the Olympics to return to Richmond in 2030.

According to a Richmond News' poll conducted this week, only 34 per cent of readers who replied are up for a repeat of the memorable scenes of 2010, while around 48 per cent clicked "No. Once is enough, thank you."

Another 18 per cent or so said they were undecided, depending on how much it would cost for Richmond to be part of a 2030 Winter Olympics.

Readers from across the globe voted on our poll, from away as China, Australia and Germany.

We asked the question in the wake of our story earlier this week, where Richmond mayor Malcolm Brodie told the News the city has already had communication with the groups hoping to bid for a 2030 Olympics in Vancouver and Whistler.

Here are the poll results:

Richmond News polled 467 Richmond News readers and asked the question: How do you feel about the Olympics coming back to Richmond, B.C. in 2030?

The poll ran from 12/13/2021 to 12/17/2021. Of the 467 votes, we can determine that 124 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:
