Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work on April 9 and 12
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to the its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
April 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 10 customers at:
- 8931 and 8980 Demorest Dr.
- 8871 to 8991 Wagner Dr.
April 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pole replacement will affect 25 customers at:
- 10726 Hollybank Dr.
- 10571,10580,10600,10611,10620,10640,10651,10651,10660 and 10671 Lassam Rd.
- 10680,10691,10700,10711,10731,10751,10771,10773,10779,10780,10799,10800,10860 and 10880 Lassam Rd.
April 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 7960 River Road
April 17 from 10 p.m. to April 18 at 6 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 616 customers at:
- 6951, 6971 and 7011 Elmbridge Way
- 5555 Gilbert Way
- 5000, 5511, 5540, 5668 and 5688 Hollybridge Way
- 7468 and 7488 Lansdowne Rd.
- 6200 River Rd.
- 6951 Westminster Hwy.
April 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Rescheduled from April 1)
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 14 customers at:
- 10551, 10571, 10591, 10611, 10631, 10651, 10660, 10671, 10680, 10691, 10700, 10720, 10740 and 10760 Agassiz Crt
