Being “known to the police” isn’t usually a statement people want to be associated with.
But this week, to mark Police Week 2023, Richmond RCMP is inviting everyone to get to know them better at an event at Minoru Track on Tuesday.
The Mounties are hosting a meet and greet in recognition on May 16, between 3 and 7 p.m., where Richmond RCMP officers and volunteers will be on site so the public can get to know exactly who is policing their community.
Officers from a variety of Richmond RCMP units will be there to talk about their experiences and answer questions from the public.
There will also be a variety of police vehicles on site for viewing as well as “fun-filled activities and information for all ages,” according to the RCMP.
