Richmond RCMP is warning the public of a suspect who allegedly groped a woman at a bus stop on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 29 around 6 a.m.
According to RCMP, a woman reported that a man walking westbound towards her on Abercrombie Dr near No. 3 Rd groped her as he passed by.
The victim screamed at the man, who ran eastward to the bus stop on No. 3 Rd and did not look back. The man did not say anything to the victim.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man who is approximately 30 years old. He is clean shaven and has short curly blonde hair and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black half zipper jacket and black shiny pants.
Police was unable to spot the suspect despite immediately patrolling the area, but officers are attempting to get video surveillance footage.
The victim was unhurt by the terrifying incident, and did the right thing by calling police immediately, they should be commended for their bravery
said Sergeant Chris Manseau, spokesperson for the BC RCMP.
The public may see more officers in the area in the next few days as Richmond RCMP will be making patrols hoping to locate this suspect.
