Do you want to help the City of Richmond be more accessible?

The city is launching the Richmond Accessibility Advisory Committee and is seeking seven people – who have a disability or are caring for someone with a disability – to give advice and act as a resource to city council to make Richmond more accessible.

The city is looking for four people interested in advancing accessibility, one Indigenous representative, one senior and one youth.

The committee will also include five people from different organizations.

The council-appointed roles are for two years and are voluntary with no remuneration.

Those interested in applying are asked to submit their online application and resume by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4.
