Scheduled power outages in Richmond for Jan. 19 to 25

Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work.

Several neighbourhoods will be out of power for scheduled maintenance and equipment replacements this week.

Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work from Jan.19 to 25.

BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to the its website.

“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” said BC Hydro on its site.

Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:

Jan. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 20 customers at:

  • 3851 Blundell Rd.

Jan. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect eight customers at:

  • 11680, 11700, 11720, 11740, 11760, 11800, 11820 and 11840 King Rd.

Jan. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Reschedule outage from Jan. 7)

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect nine customers at:

  • 8420, 8431, 8440, 8451, 8460, 8471, 8480, 8491 and 8500 Demorest Dr.

Jan. 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Rescheduled from Jan. 12)

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 15 customers at:

  • 9551, 9560, 9580, 9591, 9600, 9611, 9620, 9631, 9640, 9651, 9660, 9671, 9691 and 9711 Glenacres Dr.
  • 9511 Glenthorne Dr. 

Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A transformer replacement will affect 12 customers at:

  • 10468 to 10615 Truro Dr.

Jan. 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 12 customers at:

  • 7020, 7031, 7038, 7051, 7211, 7231, 7251, 7271, 7280, 7300, 7360 and 7380 Bridge St.

Jan. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to  4:30 p.m.

A transformer replacement will affect 11 customers at:

  • 4200, 4204, 4208, 4211, 4217 ,4220, 4228, 4231, 4237and 4251 Craigflower Dr.
  • 8951 Craigflower gate

Jan. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:

  • 13040 No. 2 Rd.

Jan. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 10 customers at:

  • 4291,4300,4311,4331,4351,4371,4391,4400,4411 and 4431 Deerfield Cres.
