Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work from Jan. 25 to Feb. 1 .
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to the its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” said BC Hydro on its site.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
Jan. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 10 customers at:
- 4291,4300,4311,4331,4351,4371,4391,4400,4411 and 4431 Deerfield Cres.
Jan. 26 and Jan. 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 11860 Dyke Rd.
Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 12 customers at:
- 9520,9540, 9551, 9560, 9571, 9580, 9591, 9600, 9611, 9620, 9631 and 9640 Aquila Rd.
Jan. 28 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 10 customers at:
- 9365,9366, 9369, 9372, 9373, 9376, 9377, 9381, 9382 and 9385 Kingsley Cres.
Jan. 30 to Jan. 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Two-day outage)
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 15300 and 15360 Knox Way
