Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work from Mar.16 to 19. .
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to the its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
Mar. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 30 customers at:
- 10280, 10331, 10351, 10371, 10391, 10400, 10411, 10420 and 10431 Thirlmere Dr.
- 10340, 10351, 10360, 10400, 10451, 10460, 10500, 10511 and 10540 Buttermere Dr.
- 7011, 7020, 7031, 7040, 7051, 7060, 7071, 7080, 7091, 7100, 7111 and 7131 Buttermere Pl.,
Mar. 17 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 8011 and 8020 Zylmans Way
- 15111 Williams Rd.
- Zlymans and Blundell Traffic.
Mar. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect nine customers at:
- 6371, 6480, 6500, 6511, 6520, 6531, 6540, 6560 and 6580 Yeats Crs
Mar. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 11 customers at:
- 10920 Bamberton Dr.
- 7400, 7420, 7440, 7460, 7480, 7500, 7520, 7540, 7560, and 7580 Waterton Dr.
Mar. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Rescheduled from Mar. 5)
Pole replacement will affect less than five customers at:
- 5000 London Rd.
