Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair work from Feb. 15 to 22.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to the its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” said BC Hydro on its site.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
Feb. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 12 customers at:
- 9031 and 9111 Arrowsmith Dr.
- 10600, 10611, 10620, 10631, 10640, 10651, 10660, 10671, 10680 and10691Bissett Dr.
Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect five customers at:
- 9111 No. 5 Rd. (Units 60 to 63)
Feb. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
A pole replacement will affect 56 customers at:
- 22600 (Units 1 to 35)
- 22420 to 22760 Gilley Rd.
Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect six customers at:
- 9111 No. 5 Rd. (Units 8 to 11)
Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect six customers at:
- 9111 No. 5 Rd. (Units 12 to 17)
Feb. 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
A pole replacement will affect 13 customers at:
- 7840, 7860, 7880 and 7900 Alderbridge Way
Feb. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Rescheduled from Jan. 14)
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 19 customers at:
- 4270, 4291, 4300, 4311, 4320, 4331, 4340, 4351, 4360, 4371, 4380, 4391, 4400, 4411, 4420, 4431, 4440 and 4479 Colchester Dr.
- 4251 Coventry Dr.
Feb. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect seven customers at:
- 9091, 9093, 9097, 9099, 9131, 9135 and 9160 Steveston Hwy.
