Drivers in Richmond are being advised to allow extra time for the morning commute due to snow falling across the region.
There are reports of spun-out vehicles on Highway 91 and on Highway 99 and more on the feeder routes into Richmond.
Varying amounts of snow has fallen across Metro Vancouver, with outlying areas of Surrey and the Fraser Valley seeing several centimetres.
This morning’s snow showers are expected to ease off as the day progresses, but Environment Canada is calling for a 40 per cent chance of wet flurries tonight in Richmond at its weather station at YVR, as the temperature hovers just above freezing.
Tuesday’s snow is expected to turn to rain for the rest of the week as the mercury begins to rise.
